Notes
Underside bruising instantly brown and keeping the bruise, young specimen. In cross section, the body is white and spongy, hymenium layer is tougher and dark brown, and cuticle is light brown and very hard. Verified with "Mushrooms of British Columbia" (MacKinnon & Luther) Note that the mushroom shaped bruise was drawn by the collector, and did not occur naturally.
