Notes
Macroscopic:
Stipe length is 30mm, width 4mm. Cap diameter is 15mm, cap length is 11mm. Cap colour, a orange-ish
brown-ish colour, with slight black fibrous markings near top. Younger caps are parabolic in shape,
more mature caps are more umbonate in shape. Flesh of the cap is a yellowish colour.
Stipe is yellow in colour, lighter near cap and more
yellow/brownish near base of stipe. Stipe is longitudinally striate.
Cap has cortina connecting between the margin of the cap/lower end of the gills, and the apex of the
stipe/near the base of the cap on the stipe.
Put KOH on the flesh of the cap, and turned crimson red.
Microscopic:
Spores are yellowish (with a tinge of green) in colour. They are slightly roughened around the edges.
There are no cystidia.
Habitat
In soil with moss (Kindbergia oregana) and decaying pine
needles and other leaves around it.
Lots of loose twigs around as well.
Coniferous trees around it.
