Morphological Description
This mushroom has a red cap with a little orange/yellow mixed in; its gills, spore print, and stalk are creamy white. These colors do not change over time. Gills are mostly adnate to decurrent to stalk. The stalk is relatively long, without rings and fragile, and it exudes no latex when broken. It tastes peppery/ acrid.
The spores are oval, white and with warts on the surface. Besides, there are abundant of cystidia within the gills.

Notes
The mushroom grows in solitary. It is not very common to see any similar species in this area. Since both of my collections were in mature stage, it is not easy to tell the specific characters shown in different ages.
Habitat
The mushroom was growing in coniferous forest. It grows on soil (rotten wood is part of the soil). The situation is wet and full of ferns around.
