Mushroom located on dirt, among fallen branches. Caps of newer mushrooms were whiteish, while more developed mushrooms were brown to black. The stipe colour was white as were the gills. On initial examination of mushrooms the flesh ( cap and stipe) bru
Habitat
Primarily hemlock forest, steep embankment. Lots of debris, mostly small tree branches and pine needles. Specimens found amongst debris on the ground, or dirt (not attached to wood).
