Notes
Scattered habit. Mushroom has a dark brown/ purple cap that is darkest in the center. The cap is gluutinous when wet and depressed when mature. The stipe and gills are white to cream in colour. The gills are adnate to notched, have a narrow bredth, gill spacing close to crowded, gills equal in length (i.e., no short gills). Gill margins are eroded when mature.
It has a mild taste and smell. No latex or staining was observed.
Microscopic characters. Basidia with 2 or 4 sterigmata. Spores have warty ornamentation.
Habitat
Collected on soil in a coniferous forest.
