This mushroom was found approximately 5m Southeast from where the Second Canyon Viewpoint trail meets with the Giant Fir Trail in Capilano River Regional Park. This park is in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Habitat
This Mushroom was found growing in a forested area that receives a great deal of precipitation. This forest is dominated by Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar and Western Hemlock. The mushroom was growing on a decaying tree on the forest floor in an area that was not densely forested. There was also a moss growing on the decaying log.
