First identified as I. fastigiata but this species does not match the microscopic description. I. fastigiata lacks pleurocystidia. Cheilo and pleurocystidia are thick-walled, flask-shaped cystidia with apical encrustations. There are also caulocystidia. Odor mild. Spores smooth.
