DNA sequence is of Ascomycota, Epicoccum nigrum, isolated from this Elaphomyces granualtus specimen. Only one golf ball sized specimen, with a yellow-brown warty peridium resembling a tiny potato. Barely covered with a thin layer of soil, likely to have been dug up by squirrels or other animals beforehand. |
