Notes
The colour of the margins at the base of the cap and gills was a light purple, rather than the vinaceous or brown-red colour described in keys. This could be a previously undetermined species that is very closely related to M. rubromarginata or a variant phenotype of M. rubromarginata that is uncommon.
Habitat
Very damp moss growing on the branches of a conifer (fir or spruce?) as well as the bark of the branches themselves.
