Specimen found north of Cable Pool, in Capilano Regional Park, on the western side of the Grand Fir trail. Mushrooms were found growing from two adjacent mature fallen conifers, located halfway up the hillside. The site of the fallen trees is a 3-5 minute walk north from the bridge crossing over Cable Pool.

A little brown mushroom, 5-6cm tall, with a tan cap 2-3 cm wide and a light gray stipe; reddish-brown staining occurs on cap and stipe; base of stipe has prominent white hairs and is rooting.
