Species: Entoloma sericeum (mushroom seems too small to be Entoloma so it may actually be Nolanea; also species is not certain as it differs somewhat from Nolanea sericia)

Cap: 1-3 cm diameter. Young are convex and become more pulvinate with age. Cap margin is generally even but there are 5 equally spaced 'crenations' or small indents around the edge. No veil remnants. Brown color with darker spot in the center.
Cap becomes a bit lighter with age.
Gills: Adnate. Breadth is narrow and spacing is subdistant. Gill edge is uneven, either eroded or crenate.
Gills are paler than cap and are a pinky-brown.
Under microscope gills look moist.
Stalk: 2.5-4.5 cm long, 0.3 cm thick. Even width, but a bit wider at cap and at bottom. Stalk is grayish brown and smooth.
Inside stalk, fibers are white.
Veil: No veil evident
