Morphological Description
Macroscopic Characteristics: Reddish-brown varnish like context. White pore bearing underside. Approximately 4 cm thick, 14 cm in length, 13 cm in width. Contact with the pore surface leads to a change in colour of white to brown. No smell. Tastes like wood.
Microscopic characteristics: Average spore size approximately 13 um in length. Eliptical shape with thick walls and 'pillars'. Approximately 7-8 pores per mm.
