Notes effused  basidomata,  with  smooth  wood-like  context  reddish-brown  in  colour  and  smooth,  tomentose  pileus,  yellowish-brown  in  colour  and  with  a  dark  yellowish-brown  pore  surface  area.  approximately  38  cm  in  length,  10  cm  in  width,  and  12  cm  at  it's  thickest  point.
Habitat found  in  multi-species  temperate  rainforest,  growing  on  the  bark  of  a  fallen,  decomposing,  douglas  fir  tree  (Pseudotsuga  menziesii),  situated  on  the  underside  of  a  branch  on  the  fallen  tree
