Cap features:
Dark grey smooth cap with white stipe mottled in slightly lighter brown. Orange or salmon pink at base of stipe.

Firm or rigid.
Pore surface:
3 pores/mm and are very shallow
White pored surface
Slugs and slug damage found on pore surface
Pore surface dried to dark brown colour in dried specimen
