Morphological Description
|
Cap 0.5-1.0 cm, colour is orange to pale yellow with same colour or paler margin; Is Hygrophanous, pale yellow and translucent when wet, orange when dried; Surface: usually dry and moist when wet; Texture: groove, virgate (streaked), striate margin; Consistency: fragile; Odor and Taste: mild; Gills: Pale yellow, free with subdistant spacing and moderate thickness.
Stipe: 2.9-4.7 x 0.1-0.2 cm, hollow, fragile, central, straight or curved; Volva has faint swelling and is grayish in colour; Surface has micro hairs at the apex of stipe that is bright bright orange and has a darker and smooth gradient as it moves to the stipe base.
Microstructures: Spores 7.6-10 x 5-7 um, elliptical, Dectrinoid (orange colour with Meltzers); Basidia 4-spored; Cheilocystidia 37-42 x 7.5-10 um; Pleurocystidia not found. |

Colour changes with light, in direct light is all pale yellow some conical shade of even paler yellow, in distant light, becomes tan and conical colour shades of brown. Grown in moss on top of decaying wood. Spore print is brown or rusty. |
