The height of the mushroom was 3.6cm and the length of the stem was 3cm. The width of cap was 4cm and the width of stem at the apex was 2cm. The approximate width of the stem was 1.3cm. Before the fungus was dried, the odor was mild. Following drying, the fungus had a strong fish - like odor and a mildly acrid and peppery taste. The surface of the mushroom cap was viscid and sticky with light and dark purple gradations. The flesh of the cap was dry and rigid and there was more moisture directly under the mushroom cap than on the surface of the cap. The gills of the fungus were adnate and slightly decurrent and the edges of the gills were lighter than the interior. The surface of the stem was white, streaked, firm, and bruised light yellow at the base. The flesh of the stem was firm, spongy, watery, and covered with small pores. The stem flesh was fibrous and longitudinally striate with an equal shape and a central location. The stem also had a hollow interior. The mushroom cap did not have any latex. Rather, the cap had a slimy, soft, fleshy, and smooth texture and a convex shape. The shape of the cap margin was straight, entire, even, and regular. No veil or veil remnants were present. The cystidia were aseptate. The average spore size was 11 by 8 micrometers. The spores of the specimen were ornamented with warts and the average wart height was 1 micrometer.
