Notes
|
When first picked, mushroom seemed to be quite young (tissues firm, little cracking of tissues, no rotting or insect damage could be seen, smelled fresh and earthy, no fading to black/brown). Colours were extremely bright: butter yellow at center fading to a light salmon pink at edges. Stipe and gills also extremely white, no trace of colour on either. Flesh made up of large clusters of sphaerocyte cells, with some filamentous hyphal cells can also be seen (although there are many more sphaerocytes in comparison). Gill trama also contained sphaerocytes. |
