The collected mushroom is a non-gilled fleshy mushroom that resembles a coral in its morphology. The mushroom has a distinct ashy grey-brown colour in the middle of the branches and gradually becomes lighter cream coloured at the blunt tips and at the base. The base is quite narrow in comparison with the branching part of basidioma. The branching is dichotomous. The basidiospores are produced on the surface of the branches. The basidia are two spored.
