The mushrooms were found in a cluster on the ground growing with mosses. Younger mushrooms caps possess a light brown umbonate cap; whereas more matured ones have a darker brown convex cap. Fresh caps looked very dry and fibrous with white veil remnants around the edges of the caps. The veils were more obvious on dried caps, and dried cap also looked scaly rather than fibrous . Both fresh and dried stems looked fibrous and not hairy. Fresh specimens have a white stalk that turns brown as it ages. The bases of the stems were slight bigger with mycelium attached. The gills were brown and had an emarginated attachment with both long and short gills. Also, the fresh specimens had a very strong citrusy and mild floral odor, and some described it as Pelargonium.
