| Morphological Description
|
Macroscopic Characteristics:
Cap: 26-85mm on longest axis, 20-64mm on shortest axis, conchate in smaller specimens, umbilicate to infundibuliform in larger specimens. Surface of cap smooth and slightly silky. White when fresh becoming yellower with age. Margin wavy.
Gills: unequal, decurrent, close to crowded, white.
Stipe: Not always present. Length 31mm, Diameter 12mm at base, widening substantially to cap. White when fresh, becoming yellower with age
Veil: Absent
Taste: No obvious taste, slightly soft and fleshy texture
Smell: No obvious smell
Microscopic Characteristics:
Spores: White, hyaline, Not amyloid. 6.1um x 5.5um. Rounded/spherical to ovular but not elongate or ellipsoid
Gills: Curve slightly towards stipe. Only basidia observed. No cheliocystidia or pleurocystidia |
