Notes
|
The cap of the fungus specimen was measured to be 40mm in diameter. The fungus was convex when young, and apparently becomes plane shape when mature based on observation. The fungus has a yellow-brownish color and somewhat darker towards the center. Some sticky liquid was secreted by the mushroom on the cap forming a shiny face. The stalk of the mushroom was very crispy/chalky which has to pay extra attention to this feature when collecting to avoid damaging the specimen. This is a type of gilled mushroom, the gills of the specimen is yellow-brownish color but much lighter compared with the color of the top part of the caps. The size of the spore is measured with an average length of 9.75 um and an average width of 7.25um which these data was measured with a bright field microscopic with a magnification of 40X. |
