white/beige with tanner rim, laterally substipitate, fan-shaped. Slightly spongy texture, overall firm and fibrous, rubbery and rough/bumpy surface. Bitter, vegetative taste and, mild, bitter smell. No latex or staining. Found growing in small clumps on trunk wood near ground and in wood embedded in moss.
